The Eastern Investment Catalyst is a programme set up in partnership between Anglia Capital Group, Barclays, Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor, Invest East and Price Bailey with support from the New Anglia LEP and University of East Anglia to support businesses from across the region to pitch their investment propositions to investors.

Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to pitch to a range of investors at an evening reception in London on the 26th November 2019.

The programme is open to established or early stage companies with high growth potential raising post-seed/A-round size investments (£1m<) with a registered business address, or significant operations in Norfolk, Suffolk or Cambridgeshire.

The programme is sector agnostic to include, but not exclusive to; life-science, med-tech, digital/ICT, agri-tech, engineering/manufacturing and logistics from across the region.

Applicants are required to show a track record of previous fund raising, proof of market, growth strategy and at least an MVP in place.

Applicants are expected to have critical management documents such as shareholders agreement, financial forecasts, etc. in place along with details on the management team.

Application Process

Applicants are required to apply using the online questionnaire Gust, only applications received through Gust will be accepted into to process. Final day for application is the 13th September 2019.

Only information received through the Gust application process will be considered in the assessment process.

Applications are assessed by the Investment Catalyst team based on their eligibility, investment documentation and perceived growth potential. The decision of the Investment Catalyst team cannot be overturned.

Successful applicants are notified by the 20th September.


The Investment Catalyst programme is run as a competitive process aimed at improving participants’ investment proposition and ensuring that only the most viable and exciting opportunities are presented at the final showcase.

The programme includes a number of workshop sessions (as detailed below) and applicants are required to participate in the workshops to qualify for the final pitch session.

Following the first two workshops, Investment Catalyst participants pitch to a panel of experienced investors. The investors select up to 10 finalists to pitch at Barclay’s Rise offices in London on the 26th November.

Participation in the Eastern Investment Catalyst is free; however, participants are required to cover their own travel costs to the workshops and pitching events.
